The Raccoons hackathon 2024 will take place between the 15th and 17th of November in the House of Nature of the University of Latvia. The hackathon aims to foster a safe learning environment for students and young adults.

Explore photochromic/electrochromic/thermochromic thin film applications to increase energy efficiency in buildings, including heating, cooling, and integration into BIM using AI tools.

Data Recycling
Create innovative “data recycling” solutions—using existing data to develop eco-friendly solutions that benefit the environment.

GameDev
Gamifying education: Create a game that makes learning feel like play.

Fin[ancial] Help
Help your peers succeed in managing their finances and understand how to save up better!
Requirements
The closing ceremony starts on the 17th of November at 3 PM EET.
All teams who want to compete for their projects please make sure you submit your project descriptions here in Devpost. After peer and mentor evaluation (more to be announced in Discord) the best teams in each challenge will have to present a 3-minute pitch in person.
In order to submit your descriptions please make sure you:
Fill in the project submission form by 1 PM EET 17th of November here in Devpost.
The form will ask about:
- The title of the project;
- A description of what the project is about;
- A link to your codebase or any other useful files;
- Team members who participated in creating the project and their background;
- Anything else to better explain your idea to your fellow participants.
Prepare a 3-minute pitch in case you need to present to the judges in person. The presentation will be your chance to show what you can build. You will be able to use your own laptop for the presentation part or send a presentation file to the organizers. If you wish to send your presentation to the organizers you will need to do so by 14:45 and send it in a .pptx or .pdf format.
